Jamie became the pastor of First Baptist Church Crossett in 2009. Before coming to Crossett, Pastor Jamie served in churches around the State of Arkansas including Little Rock, Danville, and Helena.

Jamie graduated from Malvern High School in 1992 and went on to earn a Bachelors of Arts in Music from Ouachita Baptist University in 1997. That next fall he began studying at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages Degree.

Jamie and his wife Trish have been married for 20 years. Together they have 4 wonderful children: Abigail, Karis, Mary Kathryn, and Joshua.

Pastor Jamie loves spending time with his family. He his a loyal LSU Tigers fan. Jamie also loves to Turkey hunt.


Gregg Bennett EMAIL

Minister of Worship

A true artist of his craft, Gregg Bennett led music in several churches around the state of Mississippi during his early years of ministry. In April, 1998 he arrived on site here at First Baptist Church Crossett, after having served for 18 years in Rayville, LA. Gregg has served faithfully as our Minister of Music for the past fifteen years.

Gregg obtained Associate's Degrees from Mississppi Delta Junior College in both Electronic Technology and Music. Following that, he earned his Bachelor's in Music Education from Delta State University.

Gregg and his wife, Suann, were married in 1973 and are the parents of one son, Gregory "Lyle" Bennett, Jr., who is a veterinarian in Rayville, LA. They are also proud grandparents to 3 beautiful grandchildren.

A trumpet player since childhood, Gregg plays across the United States and internationally with Jubilation Jazz, an Arkanas based group of musicians that uses big band jazz music as a non-traditional means of sharing the gospel. The Arkansas Master'Singers, a choral and instrumental ministry of the Arkansas Baptist Convention, is another of Gregg's passions. The music of Master'Singers has been heard around the world, encouraging churches and sharing the message of Jesus Christ in Guatemala, Brazil, Germany, and Russia.

When he has spare time, Gregg enjoys bow hunting, scuba diving and skydiving; he has logged over 600 jumps in 34 years of skydiving. He also enjoys losing to the other staff members in ping pong.

In Crossett and across the state, Gregg is known for his passionate leadership of worship choirs and ensembles. The community of Crossett comes together to lift up the name of Jesus in the inspiriational seasonal musicals presented by Brother Gregg and the music department of First Baptis Church, Crossett.

Gregg names "I Am," arranged by David T. Clydesdale, as his all-time favorite song.


Tracy Reed EMAIL

Minister to Students

Tracy first arrived on staff in 2005 as Minister of Education and served until 2007. He went on to be the director of the BCM at The University of Arkansas at Monticello. In 2010, God led Tracy and his family back to FBC Crossett to serve as Minister to Students.

Tracy is married to Candy Reed. They have one child, Nathan. When he isn't busy doing ministry, Tracy enjoys being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He loves sports and is a huge Ole Miss Rebel fan and New York Giants fan. He also loves to play golf, even though he has admitted he isn't very good.

Tracy graduated from Monticello High School in 1990. After graduation he enrolled at The University of Arkansas at Monticello where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. He then went on to earn a Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.


Aundie Rodgers EMAIL

Pastoral & Financial Secretary

Aundie Rodgers joined the staff in May of 2009. She graduated from Crossett High School and went on to earn a Bachelors of Business degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Aundie and her husband, Jimmy were married in 1973. Together the have one daughter, Amber. They have 2 grandchildren.

Aundie and her husand own a motorcycle and love taking trips around the country. She loves the great outdoors and spending time with her 2 grandchildren.


Shannon Murphy EMAIL

Ministerial Secretary

Shannon Murphy is a 1997 graduate of Crossett High School. She joined the FBC staff in November 2008.

She and her husband, Jeff were married in March of 2001. They have two children, Evan and Madison.

Shannon loves to travel and spend time with her family.


Darlene Skender EMAIL

Wee School Director

Mrs. Skender joined our staff in June of 2005 after serving as a public school teacher for 31 years. Darlene recieved her BA in Kindergarten Elementary and Middle School Math from The University of Arkansas at Monticello.

She has been married to her husband, Paul for 41 years. They have 2 children, Brian and Stephanie.

Darlene loves spending quality time with her 4 grandchildren. She also enjoys listening and relaxing to instrumental music.
